Getting Started

Onboarding

When you first open Contura, the onboarding flow guides you through setting up your profile (height, age, sex) and recording your first measurements. After onboarding, you can explore the four main tabs at the bottom of the screen.

Record Your First Measurement

Tap the + button in the tab bar to open the measurement input sheet. Select a body part, enter the value, add an optional note, and save. Your 3D body model on the Measure tab will update in real time.

Switch Units

Go to Profile → Units to switch between centimeters/inches and kilograms/pounds. All displayed values update immediately.

Set Up Reminders

Go to Profile → Notifications. Enable Measurement Reminders and choose your preferred interval so you never forget to log.

Measure Tab — 3D Body Model

3D Body Visualization

The Measure tab displays a parametric 3D body model that reshapes in real time as you add or edit measurements. Drag to rotate, pinch to zoom, and tap a measurement ring to edit its value.

You can change the model pose from the pose picker (e.g., front-facing, arms raised) to better view different body parts.

Adding Measurements

Tap the + button in the tab bar, or tap any measurement ring on the 3D model. Enter the value for the selected body part, add an optional note, and save.

Measurement Guide

From the measurement input screen, tap Measurement Guide for step-by-step instructions on how to measure each body part accurately, including common mistakes to avoid.

Custom Body Parts

Select Custom from the body part list to track any measurement not covered by the built-in options.

Editing and Deleting

Tap a measurement ring on the 3D model to view and edit recent values. You can also manage records through the data management options in Profile.

Progress Tab — Comparison & History

Comparison Carousel

The Progress tab lets you compare two body snapshots side by side. Choose any two points in your measurement history to see a visual diff or split-overlay comparison on the 3D model.

PastMe — See Your Past Body

PastMe reconstructs a 3D model of what your body likely looked like at a point in the past. Answer a short questionnaire about your past measurements, and Contura generates a full-body visualization you can compare against your current shape.

Access PastMe from the Progress tab. One free reconstruction is available; additional uses require Contura Plus.

FutureMe — Preview Your Goal Body

FutureMe predicts what your body could look like at a future date based on your current measurements and a target goal. Choose a time horizon (1 month, 3 months, 6 months, or 1 year) and let Contura generate a prediction.

Start FutureMe from the Measure tab or the Insights tab. Requires Contura Plus.

Insights Tab — Body Trajectory

Trajectory Charts

The Insights tab shows trajectory charts for your tracked body measurements over time. Select a metric (waist, chest, arm, thigh, calf, or weight) and a time period (4 weeks, 3 months, 6 months, or 1 year) to see how your body is changing.

Key Statistics

For each metric, you can view current value, record count, average change, and overall trend direction. Charts can also display your goal line if you have set a target.

Prediction Baseline

If you are new to tracking a particular metric, Contura can generate an estimated baseline so you still see meaningful trajectory information from day one.
